First failure data capture, more commonly known as FFDC, are logs in WebSphere that contain information about an event that may produce some sort of failure situation. FFDC logs are not typically reviewed as part of diagnosing an issue. Instead, FFDC logs are typically provided to IBM support as part of a ticket (PMR).
