CVS (Version Control) - Install CVS on Linux

If you are not familiar with CVS, check out our getting started article.

Use apt-get or yum to install CVS.

~]# yum install cvs

 

Initialize CVS. This will create a directory named CVSROOT in the /var/cvs directory.

~]# cvs -d /var/cvs init
