A Web Container is part of an application server, and is the part of the application server were applications run. In other words, an applications Servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP) and HTML pages run inside of the Web Container.

In the WebSphere admin console, you can view and edit the Web Container settings at Servers > WebSphere application servers > your application server > Web container settings > Web container.
