IBM Portal - Define the WebSphere Hostname (WasRemoteHostName) in Workplace Properties file (wkplc.properties)

Updated:   |  IBM Portal articles

By default, the workplace properties file (wkplc.properties) is located at the following directory on a Linux system.

/opt/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/<your profile>/ConfigEngine/properties/wkplc.properties

The WasRemoteHostName directive in the wkplc.properties file is used to define the hostname of the Portal server that will be used when the ConfigEngine.sh script attempts to make a remote connection.

WasRemoteHostName=was.example.com

The wsadmin.properties file . . .

/opt/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/<your profile>/properties/wsadmin.properties

Should contain the same hostname.

com.ibm.ws.scripting.host=was.example.com
