IBM Installation Manager - Uninstall IBM Installation Manager on Windows

Before Installation Manager can be uninstalled, all of the packages that have been installed by Installation Manager must be uninstalled. The imcl listInstalledPackages command can be used to list all of the packages that have been installed by Installation Manager. When listInstalledPackages only returns com.ibm.cic.agent, then Installation Manager can be uninstalled. com.ibm.cic.agent is Installation Manager.

> C:\IBM\Installation Manager\eclipse\tools\imcl.exe listInstalledPackages
com.ibm.cic.agent_<version>

There are two commands that can be used to uninstall Installation Manager, uninstall.exe and uninstallc.exe. If Installation Manager was installed by the Administrator user using the install.exe command, the uninstall command should be used.

C:\ProgramData\IBM\Installation Manager\uninstall\uninstall.exe

If Installation Manager was installed by a non-Administrator user using the installc command, the uninstallc command should be used.

C:\ProgramData\IBM\Installation Manager\uninstall\uninstallc.exe

The uninstall command is used for a non-silent uninstallation, and the uninstallc command is used for a silent uninstallation. You will simply invoke the uninstall or uninstallc commands to uninstall Installation Manager. If the uninstall is successful, the following should be displayed.

Uninstalled com.ibm.cic.agent_<version>
