ServiceNow - Create Table using Guided App Creator

Updated:   |  ServiceNow articles

These are just my personal notes as I was working through the New to ServiceNow training modules.

A table in ServiceNow is like a database. You add records to a table, just like you add records to a database.

Tables can be created:

In ServiceNow Developer, select All > System Applications > My Company Applications. In the upper right hand corner, select Create new.

Select the Let's get started button.

Give your app a name and select Create.

Roles are a way to restrict access. Since this is just our first demo app, let's keep Roles empty. So let's just click Continue.

For our first app, it's probably easier to go with a classic app instead of a mobile app.

Let's Create new table.

And let's Create table from scratch.

Let's create a mandatory string field and Continue.

And let's set the following table properites and Continue.

And the following should be displayed. Continue.

Finally, go with Done with tables.
