Java - Workspaces in Eclipse

When launch Eclipse, you will be prompted to provide an Eclipse Workspace. This is a directory that will contain preferences and artifacts.

If possible, it is best to point to a directory on a shared network drive, so that way if your stoarge device (hard disk drive / solid state drive) on your local PC were to be corrupted, you wouldn't lose your workspace.
