Kafka - Start Stop Restart Kafka

This assumes you have installed Kafka. Let's say Kafka was installed at /opt/kafka_<version>. First, start the zookeeper server. Open another Terminal, and issue the below command to start or stop the Kafka server.
bash /opt/kafka_<version>/bin/zookeeper-server-start.sh /opt/kafka_<version>/config/zookeeper.properties &
Start Kafka Server
bash /opt/kafka_<version>/bin/kafka-server-start.sh /opt/kafka_<version>/config/server.properties &
Stop Kafka Server
bash /opt/kafka_<version>/bin/kafka-server-stop.sh /opt/kafka_<version>/config/server.properties &
