Let's say you have a PPK file and you would like to extract the public certificate and private key from the PPK file.
- Download and install PuTTYgen from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html.
- Start puttygen.
- Select Load and select the PPK file.
- Select Save public key and create a file such as public.cer or public.crt or public.pem.
- Select Conversions > Export OpenSSH key and create a file such as private.key or private.pem.
