Linux Commands - quotacheck command (check disk quota)

This assumes you have installed quota using apt-get or yum and that you have use the quotaon command to set a quota on a directory.
Use the quotacheck command with the -m (force), -c (create), -u (user) and -g (group) options on the directory.
quotacheck -mcug /var
