IBM WebSphere - Roll back in WebSphere

Updated:   |  IBM WebSphere articles

Before rolling back, stop the software being rolled back. For example, if you are rolling back to a prior version of WebSphere application server, you will stop the application server.

In Installation Manager, select Roll Back.

Select the package that you want to roll back. In this example, the WebSphere application server is selected.

Select the version you want to roll back to. In this example, the application server will be rolled back to version 9.0.0.5. You can only roll back to prior versions that were installed. For example, if you are at version 9.0.0.6, and you want to roll back, a prior version such as 9.0.0.5 must have previously been installed on the system.

Select Roll Back.

Select Finish.

You can now start the software that was roll back. In this example, you would start the application server.
