The Proxy Pass file can include a timeout directive, to force connections to time out after a period of time. To set a timeout, simply add ProxyTimeout followed by the number of seconds that should pass before a timeout occurs. In this example, the timeout is 100 seconds.
If you change the ProxyTimeout value, you will need to restart the web servers for the change to take effect.
