When creating a profile using manageprofiles.sh (Linux) or manageprofiles.bat (Windows), if the -enableAdminSecurity option was not used, administrative security will be disabled. When administrative security is disabled, the realm name field will be empty.
When configuring a user account repository, you will establish the realm name. In this example, defaultRealm is used as the realm name.
Realm name is used when configuring single sign-on (SSO) between two or more WebSphere servers. SSO requires each WebSphere server to have the same realm name.
If you change the realm name, the cell (dmgr, nodes, application servers) will need to be restarted for this change to take effect.
